After playing in several garage bands in Western Massachusetts, Dan's travels landed him on Guam, where he joined a 9 piece band named Bamboo. After touring with the band for some time, he returned to the United States.

....His next band, Apathy, started in Houston, Texas, but quickly escaped to Boulder, Colorado. He moved back to Massachusetts, where he spent a number of years playing the New England circuit, most notably with Cottonmouth, Windfall Prophet, and Blue Sun.

He moved to Florida where he foraged on Pine Island for a while, alighting in Cape Coral.
He spent his spare time playing music as a hobby and writing songs. He played the
Island Hardware Store, as well as several other events and venues on the Island.

Groove Moon was germinated in early 2004, as an idea, a band, and a recording concept.
After moving to Gulfport, Florida, (where he married his lovely bride, who also does these web pages) Dan is playing at local venues, including the Blueberry Patch and local events
here in Gulfport and occasionally at the Ka'Tiki on Sunset Beach.

Dan's set up consists of: Parker Nightfly with Roland GK-2A pick-up, Parker P-38 with
Roland GK-2A pickup, Taylor Leo Kotke 12 string with Fishman Blender electronics, Taylor 510CE
with Fishman Blender electronics, Roland VG-8 and Roland GR-1 with Roland US-20 A-B switch,
Morley stereo volume pedal . Dan uses Cakewalk Software.
